Abstract:Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of foodborne diseases in Suqian City from 2017 to 2021, so as to provide scientific evidence for further prevention and control of foodborne diseases. Methods The information on foodborne disease cases in Suqian City from 2017 to 2021 was statistically described and analyzed. Results A total of 10 320 cases were reported from 2017 to 2021, with the largest number of cases reported in the 14-55 age group (58.53%), the peak of reporting from June to October (79.83%), the family was the main eating place (68.06%), the food processing and packaging method was homemade (33.22%), and the suspected exposed food types mainly included meat and meat products (20.86%) and fruits and their products (12.75%). The overall pathogen detection rate was 8.16%, and the difference in detection rate between different years was statistically significant (χ2=69.278, P<0.001). Conclusion From 2017 to 2021, the number of reported cases of foodborne diseases in Suqian City shows an increasing trend year by year, and it is necessary to further strengthen the prevention and control of foodborne diseases and prevent the occurrence of foodborne diseases.
