Abstract：Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics and clinical manifestations of hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS) in Xuzhou City, so as to provide scientific evidence for clinical diagnosis, prevention, and control. Methods The survey data of 347 cases of HFRS reported in Xuzhou City from 2010 to 2021 were collected, and SPSS19.0 was used to statistically analyze the relevant data. Results From 2010 to 2021, a total of 347 cases of HFRS were reported in Xuzhou City, with an average age of (47.27±13.76) years, including 280 males and 67 females, with a male-to-female sex ratio of 4.18∶1, and 2 deaths were reported. From 2010 to 2021, the incidence fluctuated from 0.17/105 to 0.55/105, and the average annual incidence rate was 0.33/105. The peak incidence was from October to December (224 cases, accounting for 64.55%), the age group was mainly 35-65 years old (240 cases), accounting for 69.16%, and the occupational distribution was mainly farmers (269 cases), accounting for 77.52%. The top three cumulative reported cases were 90 cases (25.94%) in Xinyi City, 79 cases (22.77%) in Pizhou City, and 51 cases (14.70%) in Tongshan District and the three counties (districts) with higher cumulative reported incidence rates were Xinyi City (0.80/105), Pizhou City (0.45/105) and Jia Wang District (0.41/105). The symptoms were mainly mild and medium (83.29%), and the clinical manifestations were mainly acute onset (94.24%). Fever (92.51%), fatigue (91.35%), thrombocytopenia (74.64%), and increased white blood cell count (71.47%) were more common. Totally 58.50% of patients were diagnosed within 7 days, 97.12% of patients had never been vaccinated, and 93.66% had a clear contact history. Conclusions From 2010 to 2021, the incidence of HFRS in Xuzhou City showed a high sporadic state, mainly mild and medium, maintained at a low incidence level, and the prognosis of most cases was good. The city’s HFRS epidemic surveillance, rodent control, and health education for key populations should continue to be done.
