Abstract:Objective To explore the relationship between family function, pregnancy pressure and insomnia degree in pregnant women and the mediating effect of family function on pregnancy pressure and insomnia degree. Methods From June 2020 to May 2021, 326 pregnant women in a Class A hospital in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province were selected as the research subjects. Pregnancy Pressure Scale (PPS), Family Care Index Scale (APGAR Scale), and Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS) were used to investigate. t test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation and sequence test were used to analyze the mediation model. Results The total score of pregnancy stress was (52.21±10.70), the total score of family function was (8.14±2.34), and the score of insomnia was (5.33±2.77). Pearson correlation analysis showed that pregnancy pressure was positively correlated with insomnia degree (r=0.539, P<0.001), and family function was negatively correlated with pregnancy pressure and insomnia degree (r=-0.520, P<0.001; r=-0.489, P<0.001). There were significant differences in the scores of insomnia among pregnant women in different pregnancy pressure and family function groups (F=82.687, P<0.001; F=26.755, P<0.001). Direct effect of pregnancy pressure on insomnia (β=0.101) and indirect effects (β=0.039), and 28.06% indirectly affected the degree of insomnia through family function. Conclusion The degree of insomnia in pregnant women is at a medium level. Higher pregnancy pressure can affect insomnia, and it can also indirectly affect insomnia through the mediation of family function.
