Abstract:Objective To investigate the psychological resilience and academic efficacy of senior high school students, to analyze the potential categories of psychological resilience, and to compare the differences of academic efficacy among senior high school students according to their classification. Methods The students of the second and third years of senior high school were selected and investigated by general information questionnaire, mental resilience scale and academic efficacy scale. Mplus 7.4 was used to analyze the potential categories of mental resilience, and SPSS 23.0 was used to compare the academic efficacy scores of different categories of senior high school students. Results A total of 980 valid questionnaires were included, and mental resilience could be divided into five potential categories, namely: low resilience group (33.265%), low resilience-low strength group (28.673%), moderate resilience-low effort group (16.837%), high resilience-low emotion group (16.735%), and high resilience group (4.49%). There was a significant difference among the five potential categories in academic efficacy scores (H=316.784, P<0.001). Conclusions The mental resilience level of senior high school students can be divided into five categories, and there are differences in students’ academic efficacy in different categories of mental resilience levels. It is recommended to carry out targeted interventions based on the psychological resilience of senior high school students, in order to improve the academic efficacy of senior high school students.
