Abstract:Objective To investigate the laboratory capacity of X City Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Northern Jiangsu, and summarize experience from the perspective of quality management, in order to provide a theoretical basis for improving laboratory capacity. Methods The laboratory data of the CDC in North X City in 2019 and 2022 were collected, the capacity building of the CDC laboratory was compared and analyzed, and corresponding countermeasures were proposed. Results There were 179 Class A inspection items in the laboratory of X City CDC in Northern Jiangsu, and the compliance rate was 86.89%. There were 159 sets of Class A instruments and equipment, and the compliance rate was 100%. There were 679 and 602 two-year laboratory accreditation (CMA) programs, and 368 and 362 two-year laboratory accreditation (CNAS) programs, respectively. In the past two years, 1 202 inspection and testing reports and 813 inspection and testing reports were issued respectively. Two-year bachelor’s degree persons accounted for 66.67% and 70.79% of the inspection and testing personnel, respectively; The proportion of primary professional titles of inspection and testing personnel increased from 12.96% in 2019 to 23.60% in 2022. There were statistically significant differences in age (χ2=9.530, P=0.023), years of experience in this technical field (χ2=23.268, P<0.001), and professional title structure (χ2=19.811, P<0.001) among laboratory personnel for two years. Conclusions The number and coverage of laboratory projects of the CDC meet the requirements, and the inspection and testing capacity is relatively stable. After 2019, the reserve force of the personnel team is relatively sufficient.
