Abstract:Objective To detect plasma vitamin D and glycosylated albumin (GA) levels in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and analyze the relationship between them. Methods A total of 150 GDM pregnant women (a diabetes group) and 65 healthy pregnant women (a control group) who received prenatal examinations in The Obstetrics Department of Xuzhou Central Hospital from September 2017 to September 2018 were selected as study objects, and the vitamin D and GA levels of the two groups were detected. A correlation analysis was conducted on the relationship between vitamin D content and GA level. Results The plasma level of 25-OH-D in the pregnant women with diabetes was significantly lower than that of the control group , and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). The GA level of diabetic pregnant women was not correlated with the age, height, pre-pregnancy weight, gestational week of them, and was negatively correlated with the vitamin D content (P=0.021). Conclusion The plasma vitamin D content of pregnant women with GDM is significantly lower than that of healthy pregnant women. The vitamin D content is closely related to GA level. The early detection of vitamin D content can prognose the risk of GDM in pregnant women.
