Abstract:Objective To understand the present situation of the disinfection quality of staff's hands in nurseries and kindergartens and analyze the existing problems. Methods The reports about the disinfection quality in domestic nurseries and kindergartens were searched, and the information about the samples of staff's hands including the quantities, the qualified rates, the basics, etc. was collected. Results There were 3253 samples of staff's hands from 10 districts of 8 provinces. The average sampling qualified rate was 72.06%.Among the all test samples of the same batch, the qualified rate of staff's hands was the lowest. Technical Standard For Disinfection(2002)was used by almost every district. The test data were on the basis of the hygienic standard for disposable sanitary products GB15979-2002 in Beijing, while in the other seven provinces, the data were on the basis of their own hygienic standards of nurseries and kindergartens. Conclusion The qualified rate of staff's hands in the domestic nurseries and kindergartens is low. One of the factors is the ignorance of sanitation and inadequate management measures. The other factorsare that the current test standards are too strict to be suit-able for the nurseries and kindergartens. Therefore, it is suggested that the province and country should formulate a more practical operative standard as early as possible.
