Abstract:In all relevant studies relating to archetype, it is rare to find studies on child archetype. Oftentimes, child archetypes are studied under the relationships or under the trinity relationships; the examples would include the simple father, mother and child relation, or the Christian doctrine of the trinity of God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit. Jung believed that the “three diagonal relationship” was one of the archetypes for religion. Children themselves possess the characteristics of both consciousness and subconsciousness; they compare anima and animus being able to freely switch between consciousness and subconsciousness, which can be said as the connection of the bridge between the consciousness and subconsciousness. However, this archetype possesses the interesting characteristics, such as the characteristics of children in real life, it often utilizes adult men and women (parents, spouse) relationships to demonstrate their abilities, and when we do not include it into the consideration in relationships, it often looms, as though its existence can be dispensable. The reason may be due to little studies about and being conducted on child archetypes. However, the child archetypes possess the characteristics of all archetypes, as well as having life within it. Our abilities to understand and study it will no doubt benefit our understanding of our own body that still possess the remnants of the child, as well as understanding those we have conceived, who are children in their own right, that are the next generation.
